Pseudocyesis

only my family. seriously.

our sweet little lily had all the signs and symptoms of pregnancy. her belly was big, milk was coming in, all we needed was the puppy.

then nothing. no weird behavior. no birth. no nesting. nothing. we were so confused... and then we found out she apparently had a false pregnancy. pseudocyesis is a psychological disorder which causes women to believe they are pregnant (and often have symptoms) when they are not. in dogs it's a hormonal thing i guess.

we are trying to get lily into therapy, but she keeps wagging her little tail and tell us she's fine... really, she's fine.
